An ode to the diversity and intersectionality of The Bronx (shout out to Sabrosura, IYKYK). Each neighborhood has its own Chinese spot, but just because it's Chinese, doesn't mean it only serves fried rice. Look for the plastic soup containers full of ice tea or chicken wings with hot sauce and barbeque sauce. My closest Chinese spot serves tostones, which admittedly are good not great, but at least they're an option (though sometimes they only give you like half a plantain for $5 bucks, so you really gotta be craving them. At that point, just buy a plantain and make them at home, like this bag charm ;) ).
This Tostone Bag Charm is a mix of three different rhinestone colors, mimicking a freshly fried tostone. The entire charm was created in-studio: drafted, printed, painted, and rhinestoned, all by hand, from concept to completion.
